ANDhe Baskonia has announced the signing of center Landry Nnoko, who arrives in the capital of Alava with an agreement for next season. The 27-year-old, 2.08-meter-tall Cameroonian interior comes from the Red Star of Belgrade, where he played ten Euroleague games last season averaging 7.1 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Trained at Clemson University, Nnoko began his professional career at Italian Pesaro in the 2016-17 season. After passing through the Great Rapids Drive of the G-League, he landed in Turkey to complete a remarkable season at Sakarya with 17.5 points and 9.3 rebounds in the national league.

Subsequently, the new Barça reinforcement wore the Alba de Berlin shirt for the next two seasons, in which he played a total of 28 games in the Euroleague (8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds) and 15 more in the Eurocup. In the Alba he would coincide with Rokas Giedraitis, lifting the German league title in 2019-2020, a season in which he signed 10.6 points and 6 rebounds per game.

In this way, Baskonia adds muscle and mobility to its inner game with the incorporation of the Cameroonian, who is expected to arrive in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the coming days.

Youssoupha Fall is already history at Baskonia

The Alava club announced today the separation of the 221-centimeter Senegalese pivot. Fall thus joins Tonye Jekiri and Ilimane Diop, the other two “five” who were part of the Baskonia squad last season, and who will not continue at the club next season either.

The news does not come as a surprise, confirming the rumors of the last weeks that warned about this operation. His little role in Ivanovic’s rotation and a slower progression than expected ended up making Fall’s role residual in last season, leading to this break that, in theory, should have continued until 2022 – he signed a contract for four seasons in the summer of 2018-.
