ANDUkrainian center Volodymyr Gerun has been disengaged from Unicaja after not entering into the plans of the new coach, Greek Fotis Katsikaris, the Malaga club announced on Wednesday.

Gerun, who came to Unicaja in the 2019-20 season from Café Candelas Breogán, played 79 games with the cajista team in which he averaged 5.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and eight PIR.

The player, international with his country, played his last game with Unicaja on January 23 in the match against Real Betis Coosur (78-75) on the twenty-first day, the first of Katsikaris at the head of the box set and in which Gerun was on the court for 9 minutes and 26 seconds and did not score.

From that moment on, he was relegated from the first squad, training alone, until both parties reached an agreement to terminate the contract that bound him for the remainder of the season with an option with compensation for one more.
