ANDl Inherit San Pablo Burgos has announced this Wednesday that Zan Tabak will be in charge of directing the team for the next season 2021/22, in which the Castilian team will compete in the Endesa ACB League and will defend the title of champion in the Basketball Champions League and at the FIBA ??Intercontinental Cup.
The Croatian began his career as a coach in the 2007/08 season at Real Madrid as an assistant to Joan Plaza, whom he also accompanied in his period at CB Sevilla.
His first experience as a main coach came from the hand of CB Sant Josep Girona, whom he directed at LEB Oro in the 2011/12 campaign and later, Tabak exercised his coaching duties on other Spanish benches in Baskonia (2012/13), Montakit Fuenlabrada (2015) and Betis Energía Plus (2016/17).
At the European level, he was the coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv BC (2015/16) and coach of Slovakia (between 2018 and 2021) and the last two seasons, the coach has managed the Polish Zastal Enea BC Zielona Góra.
Before starting the coaching stage, the Croatian was already a reference in European basketball thanks to his extensive career as a player, since he played for several seasons in the United States in the nineties in teams such as the Houston Rockets, with whom he conquered the NBA champion ring in 1995, as well as Toronto Raptors or Boston Celtics.
Similarly, Tabak competed on the Spanish courts, where he wore the shirt of Real Madrid, Club Joventut Badalona and CB Málaga, in the period between 2001 and 2005.
Once the bench is closed, the Burgos club works to close renovations and new additions for the next season.
